Peter's Canyon hike

I took my parents to hike around Peter's Canyon on Memorial Day. I can't believe I haven't made more use of this place! The hills are killer.

School Carnival

Bella's school carnival was Friday. We entered a Candyland themed cake in the cake decorating contest, and lost. Bella got her face painted like a tiger and won a goldfish, so she was happy.

Mother's Day

Bella wrote me this amazing letter and made me a key chain and puzzle.

Changzhou

Recently spent a week in Changzhou and Shanghai. Here are pictures from a Changzhou farm, where  local farmers met with visiting Beijing farmers/interns to share practices.

I told myself that I would write up a storm today, but have been largely unsuccessful with my lost figures and confusing sentences.

8 years

I am sometimes embarrassed by how long i've been dating Billy. Tonight we celebrated 8 years together by eating dinner at a nice restaurant by our house, from which I now post while he is in the bathroom. We polished off 2 bottles of wine and a glass of Courvoisier while debating whether Led Zeppelin's "D'yer Maker" would be better amended to "Baby Badger, I love you" or "Rachel, baby I love you" (I like to pretend that they're singing to me). I'm a lucky girl.
