Sucks to be a year older, but it was a nice weekend nonetheless.

Fun weekend
Saturday we went to the Punk Rock Picnic at Irvine Lake to watch Danny's band play. It was fun but super hot. Today we went to the LA Zoo with Danny's parents and then ate a late lunch at El Tepeyac which is known for its enormous Manuel burritos as seen on Man v. Food. My burrito was as big as my head and it was just the regular one. Now I'm super tired and ready to sleep.

I made these banana, pineapple, coconut cupcakes with cream cheese frosting and dried pineapple flowers last night. I brought them to work this morning and now I'm really proud of myself.

Pizza and Hangman
Went to the local pizza place for dinner with my mom and B. We played a few rounds of hangman and B was shocked that my mom had yet to guess the answer. Now I'm sitting in the dark typing this by candle light as in the hour we were gone the power went out on our block and we have no idea when its coming back on. So much for a planning a productive night.

same view, a month later
the weather is so nice now and it stays light for so long that I've started walking to work again. sometimes even on saturdays. though the office was empty, I was greeted by this strange tree face that someone gave to a tree by the front door.

B won two awards at the school's quarterly assembly. So remember, when you all start popping babies out, there's no need to brag about their accomplishments because B did it first and she probably did it better.

I know these are kind of creepy(I wouldn't be shocked if AA used them to
advertise their new line of hipster leotards) to post but I can't help
but share the ridiculousness of B's modeling skills. Plus, I know you
all are super jealous of the awesome leotard she's rocking. It reminds
me of something Jazzercize Barbie would have won in the early 90s which
means its right on trend with the current fashion cycle.

After doing some interviews with folks at the Greenpeace Beijing office,, it seemed appropriate to stop by the Vegan Table for dinner. Papaya-banana-soy smoothie, mushroom burger, sweet potato fries, and a bunch of hummus, olive tapenade, and other spreads + bread.

That's a funny looking Dog
At the end of my street I found a coyote chilling on B's school playground. Luckily, it's Spring Break. I still reported it to animal control because it's such an unusual time and place to see one. Don't need a sick coyote attacking the kids playing in the area.

Billy made us these "Breakfast Burgers" this morning using veggie burgers, eggs, and avocados. I have finally convinced him to try eating vegetarian for a while. I think he has been having fun with it.

Watching myself on Apple TV
I feel like a movie star I am currently watching myself on my Tv and it's weird!
We had to record sessions where we practice playing therapist to a classmate so that we can observe ourselves in the role. Mine is on my iPad so I was able to play it on our Apple TV, it's way better to watch and super cool but also a little bizarro!!!

Tea and sympathy
So I had a terrible bout w the stomach flu this weekend, it was pretty much the sickest I've ever felt I think, the nausea was literally blinding. But I am doing muchhh better today and actually drank some soup! Probably caught it from those germy kiddies haha. (I've been babysitting a lot lately)
But pretty much all I've been doing is drinking tea and reading my magazines. And calling my mom for some sympathy, obviously. They're up in SF for family stuff.
Meg I'll be out of school soon we should plan a trivia night at South!
